FTW Hip Hop Cap: Forever Two Wheels
FTW Hip Hop Cap, our tribute to the evergreen Forever Two Wheels. Let the hat or cap speak for you.
Whether for protection, to identify a trade or group, or for beauty, everyone has always worn a hat, but it has evolved over the centuries. A trucker hat, mesh cap or netback cap is a type of baseball cap. It is also sometimes known as a “gimme cap” or a “feed cap” because this style of hat originated during the 1960s as a promotional give-away from U.S. feed or farming supply companies to farmers, truck drivers, or other rural workers.
Wide-brimmed, with a peak, fisherman’s style, sporty or woven straw, the hat has become a cult accessory to complete a man’s outfit, especially for the summer. An instrument of charm and elegance, the hat is a sign of individuality and personality that lasts over time. And so do our Death Rider “FTW” Hip Hop Cap. A cap with its pure hot rod style graphics typical of custom culture, it will provide you with a timeless and unparalleled style.
The history of the hat is as old as that of the men who wear them. Men from all centuries have used hats in different forms, all of which conveyed a sense of belonging to a particular social or cultural group. Nowadays, hats are worn with a certain type of extravagant, carefree clothing, because there is nothing better than fashion for communicating our personality to others. In 1860, the Brooklyn Excelsiors team wore the ancestor of the modern rounded baseball cap, which featured a long peak and a button; by 1900, the “Brooklyn style” cap became popular.
A little of history
During the 1940s, latex rubber became the reinforcing material inside the cap and the modern baseball cap was born. The wide visor was designed to protect the player’s eyes from the sun. Originally, caps worn by baseball players had no visor or a very short one. Over time, the hat became more structured, compared to the model of the 19th and early 20th century. The baseball cap was and still is an important means of identifying a team. In fact, the logo, mascot or initial of the team is placed on the cap. All in all, the cap is also sewn in the official colours of the team.
Its basic shape, including the curved visor, is similar to some styles of 19th-century sun hats. The current style of baseball cap was popularized by player Babe Ruth of the New York Yankees in the late 1920s. The association of this type of cap with the sport of baseball is relative, as it has been part of casual or sportswear fashion in the US, Europe and Japan for decades. In casual wear, it has become fashionable over the years to wear the cap with the visor on one side, or behind the head, especially in the context of hip hop culture. As result, we definitly present the Forever Two Wheels Hip Hop Cap which allows you to express something. Your personality, your mood and your lifestyle.
Put it on your head
Hats are not only for daytime wear or to protect yourself from the sun on the beach, they can also be worn for an afternoon aperitif or even in the evening. There are no precise rules about this, in fact, in summer everything is allowed (but without exaggerating). It becomes an important ally in winter too, not only to complete an outfit but also as a means of protection against polar temperatures for the coldest of people. Chapeau to an object that resists fashion and time!
